JMJ College for Women - JCFW

J.M.J. (Jesus Mary Joseph) College for Women, Tenali is one of the numerous instructive foundations, set up by the Congregation of the Sisters of Jesus Mary Joseph (Society of J.M.J.) enlivened by the lessons of Jesus Christ. Rev. Fr. Mathias Wolff S.J. established the Society of the J.M.J. in the year 1822 in the Netherlands, to meet the most felt need of the time; i.e.., training of the little youngsters. Spreading far and wide, the Society built up its first branch in Quite a while, Andhra Pradesh, Guntur in 1904. From that point onwards training is one of the major apostolate of J.M.J. Sisters. 

Sr. Stanislaus Swamikannu Pillai is the planner of J.M.J. apostolate of Education in India. J.M.J. School is a Catholic Christian Minority Institution, enrolled under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. 

To meet the advanced education needs of the Society, particularly the financially, socially in reverse and provincial young ladies, the J.M.J. Sisters built up a Degree College in Tenali then a country region, in July 1963.
