ADMISSIONT.D. Medicinal College is the first Medical school in the state which was begun under Private Management . This Medical school is arranged in the rural region of Vandanam, 9 km south of the Alappuzha (beforehand Alleppey) town, confronting the NH 47, in Alappuzha region of Kerala State, South India. The initials T.D. represent Thirumala Devaswom, which in Sanskrit means having a place with the Lord of Thirumala, since this Medical College was begun in 1963 under the support of the T.D. Sanctuary at Anantha Narayana Puram of Alappuzha.
The primary cluster of MBBS classes were begun in August 1963 for 50 understudies. The Kerala government had consented to overhaul the region central station emergency clinic at Alappuzha and gave it over to the Medical College the board, to be utilized as encouraging medical clinic for the restorative understudies and Government Order No.G.O.(MS).263/73/HD dt. 23rd October 1973 was issued as needs be.
