Overview of M.J College

M.J College was established in the year 2001 and it is affiliated to Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, Durg (C.G.). It is a NAAC accredited reputed institution dedicated for the promotion of education, culture, and human values, in fact, all round human development.Our mission is to provide a unique learning experience which will enable the students to realize their innate potential and mould their overall personality. The basic motive is to empower the students to face the challenges of life and profession with courage and commitment. Our purpose is also to impart quality and value-based education irrespective of creeds and caste. The college strives to develop student’s intellectual powers, cultivate their interests and talents to make them useful and responsible to society.

Location

The Administrative Office is located at Kohka Junwani road which is just 3 K.M. away from Bhilai Nagar Railway Station & 2 K.M. apart from National highway No 6. The college has Qualified and Experienced faculty supported by excellent Lab and Library facilities, along with other infrastructure.

I.T Infrastructure

The college computer labs are well equipped with State of the art flat-screen computers. The college has enough computers for all the students. The lab is well designed to support a conducive learning environment. To boost student’s research on different disciplines, internet access is available for all students. Computer lab assistant is always available to assist any student that might have a query. With the facilities in the computer lab, students feel comfortable to move from one machine to another without causing any disturbance. This further promotes a conducive discussion environment for students. Information and Communication Technology infrastructure is projected to assume great importance to the development of the College in the coming years. The College has already positioned itself strategically for these challenges. The College has a working local area network (LAN) and has distributed computers to the library, Finance and Academic Records Registry

Club

The college has clubs in which students can join.

There is a program started by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, in which children act as the conductors of the Earth Protection Campaign. This program was mandated under the Environment Education Awareness and Training (EEAT) program of the National Green Corps (NGC). This program is also known as Eco clubs. Starting in the year 2001-2002, more than one lakh schools and more than 40 lakh students are involved in conservation efforts in this eco club program. The aim of the Eco Club program is to provide such opportunities to the children. So that they can create an environment through their sensitivity and actions.

Extra Curricular Activities

The college also provides extracurricular activities to encourage students.

Training and Placement Cell

The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Undergraduates and post-graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates annually to facilitate contact between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.

Parking Facility

The college has a Separate Parking area maintained for parking the staff vehicles.
