About of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology

Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) was established in 1999 by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC). DSGMC manages a host of educational institutes and conducts numerous religious and social activities. GTBIT is a degree-level technical institute, approved by AICTE and affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. GGSIPU was established by the government of the NCT of Delhi under the provisions of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act 1998, with an amendment in 1999. GTBIT has a sprawling campus and is centrally located in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. The institute has three spacious buildings and state-of-the-art laboratories. Students at GTBIT benefit from excellent study facilities and dedicated faculty committed to guiding them to success.

Training & Placement Cell Overview 

This is the ideology on which the Training and Placement cell of this institute operates.

The Training and Placement cell is an integral part of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) and operates with a high degree of professionalism. It plays a pivotal role in identifying job opportunities for young engineers graduating from GTBIT by liaising with reputed industrial organisations. GTBIT aims to provide these students with a platform to unleash their potential and groom them into young professionals.

It cell has always aimed to provide data to the corporate sector about candidates available for placement, aligning with their specific requirements. Throughout the year, training activities are organized with the primary goal of enhancing student’s capabilities in today’s competitive technical environment, focusing on technical expertise and effective interpersonal skills.

It acts as an interface between the institute and corporate entities by inviting them to the campus, where eligible students undergo the entire selection process. The process is governed by the student's abilities and performance as well as the requirements and norms of the industry.

It systematically aligns final-year students' career aspirations with corporate expectations by providing comprehensive training.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college possesses a gymnasium equipped with the latest machines in which coaching is imparted for physical fitness.

Library

The college library has a well-equipped library with a collection of more than 53,000 books. Apart from books library also subscribes to a large number of national and international online and print journals, a wide variety of magazines, newspapers, and non-book materials. The College library supports the teaching, research, and extension programs of the Institute. All students, Faculty, and Staff members are entitled to make use of the library facilities on taking library membership. The library aims to provide wide and efficient library and information services to the users

Sports

The College has Sports form an indispensable part of education because not only do they help in the maintenance of the physical fitness of the students but also teach them the true essence of sportsmanship i.e. an attitude to strive for fair play, courtesy toward teammates, and opponents, ethical behavior and integrity Ample of facilities for outdoor sports like cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball are provided which help the students to test their physical endurance. To augment the potency of the minds of the budding engineers, indoor sports like chess and table tennis are also encouraged various sports events are organized by the sports society of the college in which numerous pupils from different colleges and institutes participate to check their fortitude.

I.T Infrastructure

The College Computing Facilities comprise of 8 states of the art labs: Programming labs, Operating Systems lab, Internet & Networking labs, Electronics Computer-Aided Design lab, and the Multimedia lab. The labs are equipped with 550 machines of the latest configuration. The recent developments include the installation of two hundred new P-IV computers in the labs. All the labs are internally networked and interconnected to each other to form a LAN. The center has twelve 6 KVA UPS (72 KVA) to provide reliability in case of power failure.

Cafeteria

The College cafeteria not only provides the best quality nutritious food to invigorate the students but also a vivid ambiance which helps in the development of their interpersonal skills. The food served is prepared in highly hygienic conditions and is made available at very low and reasonable prices. The cafeteria has the capacity to hold more than 100 students at a time and is also provided with a suitable seating arrangement. Even if you are broke or a bookworm, the charm of the canteen will still capture you! "A coffee in the canteen is a break from the monotonous lecturers, it is the final destination for a tired and bored student

The college has a well-equipped conference/seminar hall where a variety of Academic and other activities take place throughout the year.
