Chatta Primary Teachers Training Institute was set up in 2004 under the aegis of Chatta Begum Rokeya Educational society at Chatta Kalikapur town under Maheshtala Police Station, South 24 Parganas. The course began as PTT for one year and proceeded for 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. After this according to the NCTE rules the course span was 2 years and it was renamed as Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). After the endorsement of NCTE dated 2008 dated fifth August, 2008, West Bengal Board of Primary Education acknowledgment went ahead twentieth May, 2009. This was proceeded till 201-15 and after that the College has been moved to another territory for satisfying the interest of the nearby individuals of Purba Barddhaman and Birbhum and Hooghly. The new grounds moved to Khana Junction grounds (click for NCTE endorsement). 

After this NCTE guides all these College to run the composite course and consequently B.Ed course likewise been begun from 2017-2019. (Snap here for NCTE acknowledgment and Approval from Burdwan University) .
