Infrastructure

The college is situated at the heart of the city in a sprawling eco-friendly campus of 17.11 acres, with a built-in area of 7,03,745 sq.ft consisting  of  Six academic blocks (Block A to F) which has elevators, 182 spacious well ventilated classrooms and 50 laboratories. The Campus is also facilitated with well stocked library, administrative offices, Principal’s office, guest room, 8 seminar halls, 1 Indoor auditorium, 1 Outdoor auditorium, 2 amphi theatres, staff rooms and hostels for boys and girls. Purified drinking water facility is provided in each floor. The college has a separate wing with, the office of Controller of Examinations, IQAC office, Board room, Training and Placement centre in the A block. The college provides separate facilities for counselling, NSS, NCC, stationery store, transport office, general maintenance & electrical, Innovation Cell, Incubation Centre, Research Cell, Students Welfare Cell, common rooms for girls and boys, Department of Physical Education, Canteen and a Bank extension counter with ATM facility.

Classrooms

The College has 182 enabled classrooms which are provided with 105  LCD projectors and 20 interactive boards for teaching-learning process. 

Library  

The central library of the college functions in a networked environment managed by a Library Management System (LMS) to support its various operations and services. It has a collection of 50559 books and subscribes to 123 national and international journals and CD/DVD’s. The College subscribes to online resources like Inflibnet, Delnet, National Digital Library and Swayam Prabha. The library has audio visual facility, photocopying facility, an air conditioned seminar hall and a digital library.

Computer Lab  

The College has 21 computer laboratories with 1488 computers with the needed software and a leased line of 500 mbps which provides WIFI internet access. 

Microbiology and Biotechnology Lab  

The Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology have labs for under graduate programme, Plant tissue culture lab, Animal tissue culture lab, Microbiology lab, Instrumentation lab, a research room, and a lab for Post graduate students independently.  Under the DBT Start College scheme the departments have MATLAB and a Poster room. A Food Processing lab is available with the Department of Food Processing.

Visual Communication Lab   

The Department of Visual Communication has a Photography lab which is equipped with the latest digital cameras, video cameras, handy cameras and a separate lab for Graphic animation, VFX and Multi Media with the state of art facility with which the students receive hands-on training.

Costume Design and Fashion Technology Lab

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion Technology have hi-tech labs for Drafting, Construction, Textile testing, Printing & Dying, Draping and Beauty Care for their practicals.

Catering Science & Hotel Management Lab  

The Department of Catering Technology and Hotel Management is equipped with a modernized training kitchen, a air conditioned restaurant & bar, a front office, a model housekeeping lab, Bakery and Confectionary lab to enable the students to have personalized training. 

Electronics Lab  

The Department of Electronics is equipped with the latest gadgets and devices in their labs for Embedded systems, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI design, Microwave and Optical Communication, IOT and Circuit Simulation.

Transport  

The College operates a fleet of buses to support the requirements of students and faculty members from different parts of the city and villages in Coimbatore and neighbouring parts of Kerala state. Parking facilities are provided for students and faculty members separately.

Hindusthan College of Arts and Science Coimbatore Admissions 2024: Admissions are granted to the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses of the institute. Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore admissions are granted based on the merit of the previous qualifying exams obtained by the candidates. NCW UG admissions to BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA and BBA degree courses are done based on the 10+2 marks of the candidates. NCW PG admissions to MA, M.Com, M.Sc and M.Phil degree courses are done on the basis of the scores of the graduate or postgraduate degree exam of the candidates. Lastly, NCW doctoral admissions to the Ph.D research programmes are granted based on the Master’s degree scores of the candidates.
