Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College, an AUTONOMOUS institution also known as MVSR Engineering College was established in 1981 with affiliation to Osmania University. Currently, the college has B.E programs in Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, IT, Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, PG programs in CSE, ECE and Mechanical besides MBA. This college has been recognized by Osmania University as a Centre for pursuing research leading to the award of Ph.D. Degree in the Disciplines of CSE, ECE and Mechanical Engineering. In all about a 1000 students take admission per year. The college is one of the earliest of the private Engineering colleges in the state, and since inception, the college has ensured excellent and exemplary standards, which has helped the college to be one of the topmost andsought after colleges in the state. The college is located in a sprawling campus at Nadergul, just 16 kms from the city centre. The instructional facilities are spacious, and the laboratories are continuously upgraded with state of the art equipment. There are over 200 highly qualified and dedicated faculty. Faculty of various departments handle a number of consultancy assignments from GHMC, defense laboratories etc. The college has been awarded the National Employability Award 2013 by the Aspiring minds, The UG programs in engineering have been accredited by NBA thrice. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Institution.About 70% of the students get jobs through campus placements in the top MNC’s like Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, CSC, Intergraph, etc., and reputed core companies.The College has a sophisticated Digital Library and also has an impressive repository of technical reference books, Magazines, National and International Journals catering to the needs of the students and faculty. Students and staff are provided with very good indoor and outdoor sports facilities. A dispensary is provided on the campus for the benefit of students and staff. Computer Laboratory

Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.

Library

Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.

Canteen

The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.

Seminar Rooms

The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
