M.Phil (Dramatics) is a Postgraduate Academic Research Degree course. Drama is an Artistic Form including dramatic work deliberate for performance by actors on a stage or other platform in front of an audience. It uses mixture of music, dance, sound, speech, gesture, spectacle or any one or more elements of the other performing arts to bring forth a work of art. During the study time candidates learn about the history and theory of dramatic literature in addition to studying plays and playwrights. Drama or Plays are used in concurrence with Theatre or Theatrical studies which has a technical background rather than dramatic one. The course is suitable for those candidates who have interest in performance require no formal education. The degree course provide knowledge and skill related to Drama.
