Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Hons.) in Urdu is a three year Under Graduate (UG) program in Urdu language offered by various colleges and universities across the country. Students who have passed their class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized state or central board can make an application for the course provided that they satisfy other eligibility criteria listed by the respective college or university. The course is divided into six semesters distributed over a span of 3 years. Each year comprises of two semesters with End Semester Exam (ESE) being conducted at the end of each semester. In order to pass the year and advance to next year of the UG program students have to pass in both the semester exams (Individually). Colleges list out minimum qualifying percentage (In board exams) required for admission and candidates who satisfy the minimum cut-off percentage criteria for admission can make an application for admission to the course.
