The fourteenth day of April 1990 will stay as land mark in the historical backdrop of field of dentistry of territory of Bihar specifically, and country as entire for, it was on this favorable day of birth centennial year of Bharat Ratna Late Baba-Saheb Ambedkar the Institute accepting it's beginning as a characteristic of memory and tribute to the extraordinary soul, who devoted his life for the welfare and upliftment of poor and down trodden of the general public. The foundation being the first of it's sort in the north-east area of the nation, conferring professional preparing in field of Dentistry under the pennant of Late Baba – Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the incredible humanist, the pioneer of Indian opportunity and the designer of present day India. The Institute is being Managed by Gautam Educational and Welfare Society, a Buddhist Minority Society enlisted under Society Registration Act 21,1860 just as by Governing Council, Represented by cosmic system of educationists and committed people of social and religious fields. The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) Course kept running by the foundation is Recognized by Ministry of Health Medical Education and Family Welfare Govt. of India, New Delhi and Recognized by Dental Council of India, New Delhi and the equivalent has been informed in Gazette of India.
