M.Phil (Vegetable Science) is a two year Postgraduate Academic Research Degree course. Vegetable Science is a specialized subject of horticulture which studies all the feature of vegetable production, involving growth regulation, harvesting, handling, storage, pest management, sustainable production, shipping, and final consumption. After completing the course student have a lot of agricultural sector jobs in various disciplines. The course is suitable for those candidates who have good communicative and interpersonal skills, can do work for long hours and have managerial skills. The program provide study related to complete solution to the problems associated with development of vegetable production as industry. The course deal with study the production aspects of vegetable crops at commercial level, seed production, and hybrid seed development and breeding approach in vegetables.
