Govt. Polytechnic, Jamalpur Shekhan was established in 2018 with the aim to enhance employability of the youth by equipping them with latest technical skills for suitable employment through technical education.
Today we are running 5 Diploma courses with approximately 1000 students on roll under the guidance of matured, dedicated, experienced and highly qualified staff.
The Institute is spread over an area of about 10 acres. The campus is laid out with teaching blocks, Canteen, Play Ground, Guest Room.

Hostel
Govt. Polytechnic has hostels that are separated into blocks for the boys and girls on the campus. Govt. Polytechnic hostel facilities have well-furnished rooms equipped with basic facilities.
Medical/Hospital
Govt. Polytechnic facilities include the medical room. The medical room is equipped with all necessary medical equipment. A doctor is available 24 hours and ambulances are also present for any emergencies.
Gym
The college has a gym facility. On campus Gymnasium equipped with the most modern fitness machines provide a perfect opportunity for both girls and boys for their regular workouts and enhance their fitness level.

Govt. Polytechnic library has a Large number of books, journals, and publications. There are separate sections that are present in the library like the reference section, circulation section, audio-visual section, digital library section, etc.

Govt. Polytechnic facilities include indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor games like carrom, chess, table tennis, pool, etc are made available to the students. Outdoor sports facilities are also available for games like cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball and many more.
