About Us

Overview of Government Polytechnic Bilaspur

The Government Polytechnic Bilaspur. was started from the academic session 2014-15 by Electrical Engineering Branch. It has Three diploma level courses in Electrical, Civil and Mining Engineering having 60 seat in each branch. The institute is a fully State Government Institute. It is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, and it is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education. It has an intake capacity of 189 students. Entire working of the institute is monitored by Directorate of Technical Education and Department of Technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. All regular appointments are made by Chhattisgarh Government as per service recruitment rules by Chhattisgarh State Public Service Commission. Admission are offered each year in the month of July-August through Pre Polytechnic Test, conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, and better known as VYAPAM. It conducts a multiple choice written test at various centers in Chhattisgarh State, and minimum eligibility is 10th Board qualified students. Based on the rank in PPT, Directorate of Technical Education Raipur, admits students through its online portal. Reservation norms of Chhattisgarh State Government are strictly followed for all admissions.
