ADMISSIONSikkim University was established in 2003 and amended in 2005. The University has 10 affiliated colleges in Sikkim. It has six schools namely the School of Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Languages and Literature, Human Sciences, Professional Studies, and 32 departments. The institute was established with the aim of providing higher education in various fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Communication, and Literature. The institute has been providing quality education in the form of UG, PG, and doctoral courses.
Sikkim University was born with the basic objective of strengthening the close link of education to skill development and making the youth of Sikkim educated, skilled, and employable, giving them the capacity to harness diverse opportunities both within and outside Sikkim. This will also create more job opportunities for our youth, thus solving the growing unemployment in the State.
