Loyola Institute of Technology may be a Christian Minority establishment of upper Technical Education, based by Rev. Fr. J.E. Arulraj, that has been established and managed by the Sisters of DMI (Daughters of The Virgin Immaculate) within the year 2003 with a mission of providing Quality Technical Education to the scholar community by promoting innovation, ability and transmission life skills with positive angle and to mould them to become victorious and accountable professionals of the society.The college is approved by All Republic of India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) - New Delhi to Pakistani monetary unit University - Madras.

The library has forty seven,800 volumes of books in twenty,062 titles on completely different disciplines covering all major fields of Engineering, Science and Humanities The Library subscribes 889 National & International periodicals as well as IEEE, ACM, ASME, ASCE & Springer publications
Hostel
The College provides separate hostel for boys and ladies The Hostels is found within the faculty premises and might accommodate three hundred underneath Graduate and fifty Post Graduate students. A mess connected to the hostel provides feeder and non-vegetarian food for the inmates
