Presently it's attached to the Visvesvaraya Technological University and is recognized by the All Asian country Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. antecedently it's attached to the University of Mysore. it's an establishment functioning below the grant-in-aid theme of the state of Mysore. the College was established within the year 1962 by People's Education Society presently referred to as People's Education Trust (R), with the assistance of philanthropic farmers of Mandya District. the only objective of the College was to market Technical Education among the scholars of Rural Areas. The Society was supported by late Sri K.V. Shankaregowda, former Education Minister of state of Mysore.
