ADMISSIONThe College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology (CAEPHT) was set up by CAU in the year 2006 to addressthe issue of lack of prepared labor (human asset) in the orders of agrarian designing and post collect innovation other than different issues, relating to characteristic asset the board, ranch automation, post-gather innovation, handling and worth expansion, usage of inexhaustible wellsprings of vitality, production of agro-ventures and so forth in the locale.
The Govt. of Sikkim, through the Department of Food Security and Agricultural Development (FSADD) moved the place where there is its Marchak Farm, Ranipool, East Sikkim to CAU, Imphal. Dr. N.L. Maurya, the then Director of Instruction, CAU, Imphal was selected by college as Officer on Special Duty for foundation of CAEPHT and after his expecting this new task on May 20, 2006, the College began working with the confirmation of first group of understudies in B. Tech. Rural Engineering program. Prof. P.K. Srivastava, the present Dean, joined this College on Feb. 15, 2008.
