David Memorial Education Society was established in the year, 1968 in the memory generally Dr.R.David, (Retd. Therapeutic Officer Government of Andhra Pradesh). In June 1968 David Memorial School, Rashtrapathi Road was begun with 19 understudies and educator. In 1969 David Memorial High School, Tarnaka was begun with 15 youngsters and 2 instructors. There are presently around 500 kids and 25 Teachers. In 1972 three additional schools were begun at Picket, Warasiguda and Gandhinagar. In July 1980 the Society began a Junior College for Girls under the name of Guruswamy Women's Christian Junior College as a token of appreciation to late Mr.N.K.Guruswamy , IAS (retd).
