Shivaji College is under the trust of the Government of Delhi. Founded in 1961 by Drs. Punjabrao Deshmukh is the Union Agriculture Minister and a prominent social activist and farmer leader. His vision was to provide higher education to boys and girls in the largely rural areas of Matiala. The Delhi government took over the management and administration of Shivaji College and transferred it to Karanpura in 1967. Shivaji College further relocated to its present campus at Raja Garden in his 1976. Shivaji College's location is very enviable. There are two subway stations in close proximity to the college, and there is extensive bus service that takes students to and from various locations in the capital region. There are also facilities near the College such as a general hospital, bazaar, banks and post office. The College campus also has photocopying facilities, banking, and medical services, as well as cafeterias and kiosks that sell drinks and snacks. Although Shivaji College's campus is located in an emerging area of the city, it is very green. It's a maze of tall trees, lush lawns, and mown hedges. The on-site herb garden is a source of pride for the College. In addition to the College's academic and administrative departments, the campus includes athletic fields and housing complexes for staff on a 10-hectare site. The Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce of Hotel Management offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified students. SCC scholarships in Delhi are usually based on academic merit, financial need, or a combination of both. Scholarship amounts vary, but may cover part or all of a student's tuition fees.

Sports
The College has a variety of sports facilities, including indoor and outdoor games. The College has an excellent cricket ground which hosts day games as well as day and night games. Every year, the College organizes the Sahib Zada Ajit Singh Cricket Tournament in December and January. Approximately 20 clubs will participate in this tournament.
Libraries
The College began a library computerization plan in 2001. Our libraries are now fully computerized. Various library activities are automated. The book database can be searched by author, title, subject, publisher, etc.
Hostel
Mata Sahib Kaur was declared to be the mother of the Khalsa and since then the novitiate was declared to be the son and daughter of Guru Gobind Singh and Guru Gobind Singh Mata Sahib Kaur. Keeping in mind the needs of a large number of female students on the outskirts of Delhi, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce has decided to set up a hostel in the name of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
Seminar Room and Conference Hall
The College has two seminar rooms and a conference hall available. The seminar and conference hall has been the venue for numerous seminars, workshops, symposiums, guest lectures and other activities in recent years. The centrally air-conditioned hall can accommodate more than 200 people and features state-of-the-art equipment such as a projector, pre-sound system and Wi-Fi equipment. All halls are ideal places for academic, religious, social and general discussions.
Auditorium
College includes his state-of-the-art, air-conditioned, 500-seat auditorium, which is the center of the College's cultural activities. The Sahibzada Ajit Singh Auditorium has a spacious stage, two dressing rooms, comfortable seating, carpeted floors, air conditioning, washrooms and a lectern.
Gurudwara Sahib
In order to instill a sense of divinity and spirituality in the students and staff, the College has set up a Gurudwara within the College premises. The Gurudwara is managed by the College's Theological Society. The daily commands (Hukamnama) are recited and handwritten on the board next to the Gurdwara Sahib.
Medical Room
Medical Room was established to provide first aid and other medical equipment to student staff. You also have the option of seeing a doctor on-call.
The Placement Cell aims to provide students with a successful future by connecting students and potential employers with internship and job opportunities. The College Placement Cell includes student and teacher coordinators who help students identify their interests and talents and connect them with organizations that can unlock and leverage their potential. Our vision is not only to provide them with jobs, but also to instill in them the values of working for the good of society. Therefore, we also encourage our students to collaborate with NGOs. It closely tracks the efforts of centrally located cells at Delhi College.
