The College was built up in the year 1987. The school was named after prominent social reformer, educationalist and present day age artist Sri Gurajada Apparao. The school is obliging the instructive needs of country understudies in Visakhapatnam region of Andhra Pradesh. It is a Co-instructive school offering under alumni and post graduate courses with an all out understudy quality of 545. At present, the school has 19 ordinary employees. The school is offering 05 college classes and 01 postgraduate course (MCom). The school was licensed (cycle-2) by NAAC with A grade(CGPA 3.03) in March-2015. Following the rules of NAAC, IQAC was set up on 01-06-2006. The school has Jawahar Knowledge Center(JKC), English Language Lab(ELL), Virtual study hall, Digital homerooms and all around prepared science labs.
