Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV), is an agricultural university in West Bengal, India. Eligibility Criteria

• Master's degree in the subject that the doctorate is going to be pursued in from a UGC Recognized University or Institute.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks will be given to reserved category candidates.
• A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. programme of the same Institution.

Application Procedure

Step 1 : Fill in the Online Application Form.The candidate should fill all the details as required in the application form. After successful submission of the data, an Application Number will be generated. It will be used to complete the remaining steps of the application and also be required for all future correspondence. Please note down your application number for subsequent logins. Candidate will be able to login directly with his/her respective system generated application number and chosen password.

• Press validate form
• After final submission of application, there will be no option for editing
• Thereafter save and proceed

Step 2 : Upload scanned images of photograph and signature: The scanned images of photograph, signature, 10th Board Marksheet, 10+2 Board Marksheet, Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate, Aadhaar Card should be in jpg/jpeg format only. Size of the photo can be minimum 3 KB to maximum 70 KB. Size of the signature can be minimum 1 KB to maximum 50 KB. Size of all other scaned documents can be minimum 1 KB to maximum 300 KB

Step 3: Pay Application Fee only online mode (Debit Card/Net Banking/RuPay):

The candidate has to select online option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the application form.

Step 4: Download the Application Form: The Candidate should take print of his/her filled in application form for future reference.

Selection Criteria

• Admission to Ph.D program is offered on the basis of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya – Ph.D Entrance Test. Candidates will be selected on the merit of entrance exam followed by Personal Interview. Candidates who have qualified in the examinations like CSIR- NET/ UGC-NET/ JRF/lectureship/ SET/SLET/ GATE/ ICAR/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST-Inspire are exempted from the university-based entrance test.
