JOB DESCRIPTION 

The tasks a Tyre/Tube Repair Operator is expected to perform include:

Preparing the blemished surface to be repaired by thoroughly cleaning, cutting, buffing, cementing, etc.

Applying repair gum of required thickness  

Using hand tools such as buffers, knives, awl and stitchers for repair 

Loading the green repaired tyre/tube on spot/designated press and commencing curing 

Ensuring that the temperature and pressure are maintained for proper curing  

Monitoring the curing properly during the repair operation

Carrying out housekeeping, reporting and documentation, quality checks and problem identification and escalation activities

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

It needs one to be on their toes

Need not handle a team

Local travelling maybe a part of this job role

Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available in some cities

Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from factory to factory
