M.Phil North East India Studies is a Postgraduate Academic Research Degree course. Mainly The course duration is two year (four semesters). The aim of this program to promote teaching and critical research on North East India and also encourage and engage with relative research which covers themes connecting local and global issues and their wider implications. The course motivate the exchange of scholars, workshops, seminars, symposia etc., on particular themes pertinent to the region and also issues of comparative nature, in particular with other tribal regions of India. The program focuses on developed itself into a centre of excellence which would serve as a resource hub for candidates and scholars from diverse parts of the country and abroad and be a platform that brings academics, administrators, policy makers, civil society actors and activists interested in the region to dialogue on the problems and prospects of the Northeast India and benefit other regions in India from the rich and diverse socio economic, political and cultural realities of North East India. After its successful completion candidates have job opportunities to the world to develop an informed sensitivity towards the region.
