Master of Philosophy in Food Engineering and Technology is a minimum 1 or maximum 2 years advanced postgraduate research degree and generally awarded to graduate candidates after going through several rigorous years of original research. In India, there are a some universities and colleges offering the M.Phil. degree, and typically the duration of the program is two years long. During the study time candidates learn about the essentials needed in food production and its processing, which is the 5th largest industry in the world.
