Online PhD in Entomology
Phd in entomology is a 3-year duration doctoral-level Program. Agricultural entomology unit centered to beneficial arthropods found in agroecosystem that provide to ecosystem services such as biological control & pollination. The study of insects with relationship to humans & its effect on the environment connect with the Agricultural Entomology program. During the study time student introduces to insect systematics & biological diversity, insect ecology and integrated pest control, insect biochemistry & molecular biology. The course provides knowledge of life science, agronomy, horticulture & plant protection with the latest theory of biological technology. Students also gain advanced knowledge in entomology, & have an overall & methodical understanding of advanced research in the field. The Program syllabus is divided in 6 semesters. Various colleges & universities offered PhDin Agricultural Entomology Program because of its demand & importance. The program syllabus includes in the education may be responsible for teaching courses, mentoring graduate students, grading exams, designing lab activities, supervising student research, & pursuing their own research goals.
PhD in Entomology Admission Process:
Admission to the PhD program shall be based on the Candidates marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department or school of a particular university or institute. Those Students who have completed GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in the pertinent subject of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from Entrance Test. While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee of the institute may consider research work/earlier Ph.D./experience done by the candidates. If a candidate already holds a doctorate degree in the relevant subject from a UGC Approved University or Institute, he/she may be exempted from the entrance exam & pre PhD coursework. After clearing both steps the candidates will be eligible to pay the course fee or registration fee. Only a predetermined number of Students may be admitted to the program.
