Ph.D. in footchnology is a doctoral-level Program. The doctoral course has been designed to train students with a strong capability for hard work, and comprehensive knowledge of science & machines to make a career in the field. Footwear being the most crucial accessory need sophisticated machinery & technically experienced student who must be competent to handle all processes related to shoe-making. Ph.D.in footchnology course is suitable for those students who have an interest in footwear design. The duration of this program is generally 3 year & its syllabus is divide in 6 semesters of six months each. For this candidates must be very hard working & must posses the capacity of independent study & thought. After passing this program students have various job opportunities in various fields.

Foot reflexology was performed in all participants in the intervention group after they had rested for five min in a sitting position. In all cases, the procedure was performed by same researcher, who was trained & certified by the Ministry of the Public Health’s Department of Thai Traditional & Alternative Medicine. Acupressure was applied at the plantar side of the right foot at first metatarsal bone, around 1–1.5 cm proximal to the first metatarsophalangeal joint. Approximately 3 kg of pressure was applied using a knuckle of right index finger (dorsal part of the proximal interphalangeal joint in a flexing position) in a perpendicular manner & held for 15 s then released for 5 s. This hold-release cycle was performed 5 times over the total course of two min. The Department of Thai Traditional & Alternative Medicine recommends this method in accordance with zone & meridian theories.14

Ph.D. In Footchnology Admission Process:

Admission to Ph.D. course shall be based on the candidate marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department or school of a particular university or institute. Those students who have completed GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in the pertinent subject of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from Entrance Test. While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee of the institute may consider research work/earlier Ph.D./experience done by the student. If a candidate already holds a Doctors degree in the relevant subject from a UGC Approved University or Institute, he/she may be exempted from the entrance exam & pre Ph.D. coursework. After clearing both steps the candidate will be eligible to pay the program fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of students may be admitted to Ph.D. programmer.
