Education can be thought of as the transmission of the characteristics and accumulated data on an overall population. In this sense, it is equivalent to what social specialists term socialization or enculturation. Children—paying little respect to whether considered among New Guinea tribespeople, the Renaissance Florentines, or the professional classes of Manhattan—are imagined without culture. Preparing is planned to oversee them in learning a culture, molding their lead in the strategies for adulthood, and managing them toward their inescapable occupation in the general population eye.
