Ph.D. Livestock Production Management doctoral-level study. The main purpose of this study is to provide specialized training in animal treatment to extent of the highest expertise. The doctoral course is connected with the handling of animal livestock & business processes that have been newly introduced. The Program centered on different advancements in the fields of poultry and other animal rearing & animal production with emphasis on environmental & also production management. The duration of this course is generally 3 years & its syllabus is divided in six semesters of six months each. 

Ph.D. Livestock Production Management Admission Process: 

Admission to the Ph.D. program shall be based on the candidate's marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department or school of a particular university or institute. Those Students who have complete GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in pertinent subjects of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from Entrance Test. While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee of the institute may consider research work/earlier Ph.D./experience done by the student. If a student already holds a doctorate degree in the relevant subject from a UGC Approved University or Institute, he/she may be exempted from the entrance exam & pre Ph.D. coursework. After clearing both steps the Candidates will be eligible to pay the course fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of students may be admitted to Ph.D. program.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to Ph.D. in Dairying program is a Master’s degree from any university recognized by the Institute, in a relevant subject.

Students having completed their Master’s Degree program in a relevant field as given below must have obtained at least 60% marks or an overall grade point average  (OGPA) of 6.60 out of 10.00 or 3.25 out of 5.00 or 2.60 out of 4.00 (For SC/ST/PH  candidates 50% marks or OGPA of 5.60 out of 10.00, 2.75 out of 5.00 or 2.20 out  of 4.00) or a Certificates from Registrar of having OGPA equivalent to 60%  mark.

The Student appearing for the final year examination of Masters's Degree Program can also apply subject to producing his/her Master’s Degree certificate on the date of counseling.
