Overview

M.Phil (Plant Molecular Biology) is a postgraduate academic research degree course. The full degree course consists of two year and its syllabus is divide in four semesters of six month each. During the study time candidates gain knowledge and develop skills in molecular biology which involves disease causation, diagnosis, microorganisms, and treatment of pathogens to advanced practical training and major significance to public health. The M.Phil is a research degree in its own right and one which will provide candidate a similar skill set to a PhD. In the research degree course candidates will study various topics such as aspects of molecular biology and overview of biology, identification, and control of pathogens, disease transmission, and immunology. Plant molecular biology investigate the role of certain cells, their function in plant life and methods to alter those cells to considerable effect. It provide helps candidates to study principles of molecular biology with organisms and human diseases. In some universities after completing M.Phil candidates do not have to appear in Entrance Exam. In India various college and university offered this course because of its importance and demand.
