M.Phil Dvaita Vedanta is a doctoral level course. Dvaita Vedanta is a sub-school in the Vedanta custom of Hindu way of thinking. Then again known as Bhedavāda, Tattvavāda and Bimbapratibimbavāda, Dvaita Vedanta sub-school was established by the thirteenth century researcher Madhvacharya. The Dvaita Vedanta school accepts that God (Vishnu, preeminent soul) and the individual spirits (jīvātman) exist as autonomous substances, and these are unmistakable. The Dvaita school stands out from the other two significant sub-schools of Vedanta, the Advaita Vedanta of Adi Shankara which sets nondualism – that extreme reality (Brahman) and human spirit are indistinguishable and all the truth is interconnected unity, and Vishishtadvaita of Ramanuja which places qualified nondualism – that extreme reality (Brahman) and human spirit are unique yet with the possibility to be identical.
