M.Phil (Comparative Philosophy and Religion) is a research-level course. The doctoral program offers a whole range of opportunities for spiritual practices. It provides study related to research into- and compares Eastern and Western worldviews, philosophies, and religions, involving mainstream and indigenous spiritual practices. The main purpose of this course at Providing scholarly instruction in Eastern and Western religions and philosophies; Offering opportunities for elective course credits that could be taken at other educational institutions and/or in other CIHS graduate departments; Enhancing students’ personal experience of integral spirituality; Sensitizing students to different views of reality and human existence; Fostering scholarly research in the fields of spirituality and philosophy; and Encouraging personal spiritual experiences. The full degree course consists of three year and its syllabus is divided into six semesters. The course provided by various colleges and universities in India.
Eligibility
Candidates need to acquire 55% marks in the subject chosen for M.Phil. course or an allied subject at the postgraduate level to be considered eligible for the course.
