M.Phil (Spatial Informatics) is a postgraduate academic research degree course. The main purpose of this course candidates to develop knowledge and technical skills in such areas as information system design, human-computer interaction, database systems design and management, systems development, computer networks, and information law and ethics. A pre-doctoral programme - Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) is taken after successful completion of the Master's Degree. Area of course offers opportunities for students to work in both GIsystem related research, new methodologies and algorithm development for both RS and GIS and in all related application domain areas. The M.Phil program constitute an overarching umbrella for studying methods, theories, and applications of spatial analysis/modeling; and spatial data handling, management, and visualization. Master of Philosophy in Spatial Informatics course duration is generally two year and its syllabus is divide in four semesters. In some universities after completing M.Phil candidates do not have to appear in Entrance Exam. The educational program is designed in a manner which molds the applicant in the entire aspect for their future.
