ADMISSIONGovernment Polytechnic at Bicholim started functioning as an independent Institute from the year 1992, prior to which the Department of Mining Engineering was functioning as a branch of Government Polytechnic Panaji, at Bicholim. Now this is a pioneering Institute of technology with spacious and beautiful campus at Mayem, Bicholim with good infrastructural facilities.
To train the technicians for Diploma Certificate, to meet the needs of the state of Goa and in general to become responsible citizens of the country.
The Institute offers four / five Diploma Programmes of three years duration each viz.

Government Polytechnic, Bicholim has hostels that are separated into blocks for the boys and girls on the campus. Government Polytechnic, Bicholim hostel facilities have well-furnished rooms equipped with basic facilities.
Medical/Hospital
Government Polytechnic, Bicholim facilities include the medical room. The medical room is equipped with all necessary medical equipment. A doctor is available 24 hours and ambulances are also present for any emergencies.
