The College was established in 1991 by Sengunthar Education Trust. The College was once in the past subsidiary to University of Madras however now it is associated to Periyar University, Salem. The College offers undergrad, postgraduate and research programs. It is one of the pioneer establishments offering MBA in Namakkal region. MBA and MCA projects are endorsed by AICTE, New Delhi.
