E.M.G Gopala Krishna Kone Yadava Women's College was set up in the year 1974, with the vision of structure a solid and sound society by offering some incentive added Education to socially and monetarily in reverse Women. The Institution has been Administered under the Governance of E.M.Gopala Krishna Kone Yadava Mahalir Kalloori (Women's College) Association, Madurai, and partnered to Madurai Kamaraj University . 

The College was begun distinctly with Pre – University course at E.M.G . Kalyana Mandapam at Tallakulam and the Institution was repositioned at the present area with a region of 15 sections of land of land contributed by the E.M.G. altruistic Trust in 1980. Along these lines, the execution and acknowledgment of the vision of Thiru. E.M.Gopala Krishna Kone was started by our adored mother, Tmt ,E.S.R.Alamelu Ammal. Thiru, E.M.G. Soundarajan has turned into the existence time President of the College and disparaged the Institution till 2008. The earnest and charming administration of Thiru, E.M.G. Soundararajan is being proceeded by Tmt. E.M.G.S. Indirani, woman of assurance, Social duty and religious Zeal renders her administration for the strengthening and edification of ladies which builds up the Institution to arrive at an unheard of tallness.
