MKSSS-Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samtha a 120 years of age samstha was built up in 1896 by an incredible visionary and social laborer Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, to give sanctuary to dejected women.The foundation has been focused on "Strengthening of ladies through instruction". The organization has a long history of committed work towards making ladies taught and confident, with a mission 'to make the world-class instructive condition, to empower understudies to completely build up their capacities and cultivates a solid awareness of other's expectations, profound quality and morals, in view of a solid arrangement of qualities.'
The Founder of the Institution
Prof. D. K. Karve established an Institution in a town called "Hingne" close Pune City. The Institution was named as "Hingne Stree Shikshan Samstha". Afterward, the Institution was renamed as "Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha".
Prof. Karve committed as long as he can remember for this helpful reason with incredible assurance and boldness. For his penance and committed social work and his commitment to the respectable aim he was granted "Bharat Ratna" the most noteworthy national honor.
