HAL Rotary Wing Academy, Bangalore was built up in 2000 for helicopter flying preparing of abinitio common pilot students. Institute was assessed and affirmed by the Director General Civil Aviation of India in 2000. The fundamental flying preparing is completed on Schweizer Helicopter Model 300C (cylinder motor type).CHPL Students will from there on need to qualify in Radio Telephony Restricted to Aviation RTR (A) test led by the Wireless Planning Cell (WPC) under Ministry of Communications, at various focuses in the nation each substitute month of the year. On finishing this test called a Certificate of Proficiency in RTR (An), issued by the WPC, the DGCA issues FRTO license.Option is accessible to prepare on Schweizer 330SP (gas turbine type) at additional expense.
