Bharathi Women’s college has entered into the fiftieth year of superb academic service to the population of the martyr city set on the shores of Bay of geographic area, marking the start of the northern region of the town qualified as a neglected backward region. supported in 1964 as Government Arts faculty for girls, its quality and character were formed by a bunch of dedicated Principals, academics also as the generation of good students. this faculty was recognized by the UGC below 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act of 1956. the college was illustrious for its educational standing and leadership building for girls during this space from the time of beginning.

During the centenary celebration of the famed Tamil author Subramanian Bharathi in 1981-82 this faculty was renamed as Bharathi Women’s faculty. nowadays the College has quite 4000 students and over a hundred and fifty faculty members serving in thirteen totally different departments. the faculty is found within the fairly massive field of eight Acres, nested within the huddled beautiful martyr city the particular Madras.
