ADMISSIONGovernment College(Autonomous), Angul is the chief Institution for advanced education in the District of Angul. It was set up in the year 1957 yet began working from the scholarly session 1958-59. Foundation of the school was conceivable by the spearheading exertion of the then Chief Minister Dr. H. K. Mahatab and Sri Kumuda Chandra Singh the then MLA of Hindol.
The College began as an I.Sc College and the name of the school has experienced changes on numerous occasions lastly accepted the name Govt. School, Angul in the year 1976. The school is partnered to the Utkal University. The school turned into a lead school in the year 1990.
The 'Self-governing' status was given on the school by the University Grant Commission during the session 2006-07 and the College has been licensed by the NAAC. It grants under alumni educating in Arts, Science and Commerce streams and Post Graduate instructing in Pol.Sc,Oriya and Ind.Economics.
