Sri Aroor Laxminarayana Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Koppa was established in 1987 by famous businessman and social reformer, Sri Aroor Ramesh Rao below the auspices of Aroor academic Trust (Regd), Koppa with the article of impartation quality Ayurvedic education and providing health services to individuals in and round the Malnad Belt.
The Society runs a charitable a hundred twenty-five bedded Ayurvedic Hospital at Quardhitlow, AN estate space eight k.m. from koppa city and a separate Aids Community Centre of ten beds have enlarged the scope of the hospital. Three O.P.D units; in Thirthahalli, 25 k.m. from Koppa, Sringeri, 30 k.m. from Koppa and another within the heart of Koppa city are established for the convenience of the individuals in these areas.
The Ayurvedic College, designed on a sprawling twenty five acre field has established for itself a name for excellence, and consequently attracts students from across the country.
The campus, with many imposing and purpose bound buildings encompasses a designed up space of roughly one,25,000 sq.ft. that was developed with AN initial investment of Rs. 5 crores.
